Variety

Variety's Kids Sports Days are free and they are a fun and inclusive way to try out different sports for kids who often miss out. It is aimed at children aged 5-18 of all abilities who are living with a disability (physical, sensory, intellectual). Head to their website for more details.

Parkside Foundation

"The Parkside Foundation provides a range of Community Access, Training, Personal Care and Respite Services to people with disabilities." They offer a school holiday program where children have opportunities to mix with their peers, develop friendships while taking part in fun and creative activities. They also organise social activities for young people on weeknights and weekends.

Active Launceston

"Active and Inclusive is all about encouraging children and adults with disabilties to get involved and participate in sport and physical activity. The free Sports Ability Hub is based around 5 games - boccia, goalball, sitting volleyball, polybat and table cricket. The New Horizons Club includes activities such as discos, athletics, swimming, soccer, gymnastics, bowling, craft & ballroom dancing.

New Horizons Tasmania

New Horizons Tasmania (NHT) is a sport and recreation club where "everyone is welcome". Membership is open to people with any disability (intellectual, physical, spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders and more) from ages 5 and up. In addition to their sport and recreation programs they also host carnivals, social functions and interstate sporting trips.

Glenhaven Family Care run a MAC Program - "My Active Choice (MAC) is a fresh, innovative approach to providing high quality, fun activities for participants with disabilities." Their activities include beach activities, music, arts, crafts, dancing, hiking, swimming, 3-wheel trikes, woodworking and more.

Gaming & Coding
The Lab

"The Lab is a tech and games based social experience for young people aged 8-18+ where the goal is to have fun and make friends." They hold weekly two-hour sessions for between 10-15 young people to help them develop their social and technology skills. In Hobart these sessions are run at the Glenorchy Library on Saturday mornings between 10am-12noon. Visit their website to find more information or to book a session.

Studio Space Inclusive Arts
Studio Space provide a number of drama and performance services to people with disability. They welcome all ages and abilities. Their services include Drama Training, Dramatherapy, Performance Making, Audition Workshops Drama School, Acting for Screen and Self Tapes and Advocacy + Accessibility + Mentorship + Artist + Services.

Physical Disability Sports Tasmania

PDS "is a state-wide sport and recreation program facilitated by ParaQuad Tasmania."
"The program is specifically designed for people with spinal cord and physical disability" and they welcome all ages and abilities. Activities include AFL Wheelchair, Boccia, Frame Running, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Rugby.
Indoor Activities

Artosaurus
Artosaurus run a number of art programs for people with disability with Visual Arts in Moonah and Woodwork and Ceramics at the workshop in Goodwood. Activities include woodwork, ceramics, jewellery making, glass foiling, sculpture, printmaking, textile art, crochet & knitting, card making, candle making, digital art, painting & drawing.

Hobart Music Therapy

Hobart Music Therapy can host individual or group sessions and "can include anything from listening, singing or moving to music, playing instruments and songwriting."
The sessions can be hosted at "your home or child's daycare or school, to provide a fully individualised session or arrange for clients to join a group session."

Puggles Swim Schools

Puggles Swim Schools can be found across Australia where deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) children can learn to swim in a mainstream swimming class." Special Olympics Australia

"Special Olympics is a year-round multi-sports program for people with an intellectual disability – of all capabilities." The program helps participants get active, make friends, have fun, learn important life skills and promote movement, teamwork, decision making and communication. There is also a Special Olympics Young Athletes for children aged 2-8 years with and without intellectual disability .
