Autism Awareness Australia is a not-for-profit autism education and awareness organisation in Australia. Their aim is "to improve the lives of all Australians on the autism spectrum and their families."

They offer information on a lot of different areas to do with autism, such as getting a diagnosis, understanding autism, NDIS & funding and therapies & support. The website also has a resources section which includes information on what to watch & listen to, what to read, website & socials, educational information, research and a video library. You can also have a look at their workshops and online training.

Autism: What Next? is a project of Autism Awareness Australia (AAA) and is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

This is an online toolkit to help people with autism and their parents / families navigate the journey of an autism diagnosis. The website offers information, resources and advice from people with autism and their families with support from some of Australia's leading clinical experts.

Their website contains a lot of information on autism, getting a diagnosis, checklists, strategies and practices (including daily living, behavioural strategies, communication strategies, social strategies and sensory strategies) as well as information on support and services.

Yellow Ladybugs is an Australian charity "run by and for autistic girls, women, and gender-diverse folks, and their families'.

Their website offers resources, including books (both hard copy and digital), information and links to The Yellow Ladybugs Podcast. They also offer some training and social gatherings and well as their annual conference which is held in Melbourne.

"Autism CRC was established in 2013 as the world’s first national, cooperative research effort focused on autism under the Australian Government’s Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Program. We receive funding from a number of sources, including the Commonwealth Government."

You will find many research publications (in different formats including poster or report) as well as National Guidelines. The have an eNews newsletter, media releases as well as webinars, audio recording (such as podcasts) and other media.

This Australian website provides "information to parents, carers and educators of school-aged autistic children. This information is based on research and accessed through workshops and other resources."

They provide some great online learning and downloadable information sheets (e.g. 'An Introduction to Visual Supports' and 'Conversation Cards' which are available in a number of different languages.). You can also watch some live interviews with a variety of guests.

The Communication Hub was developed by Speech Pathology Australia and AGOSCI (The Australian Group Supporting Communication Inclusion) for people with communication difficulties, their families and the wider community. They provide information on autism and communication as well as a number of other areas including communication difficulties, communication disabilities, ways we communicate, accessibility, aids & supports, services & organisations, tips for partners, and much more.

I Can Network

The I CAN Network provides a national online group mentoring program for autistic / neurodivergent young people (8-22 years old). They are "are Australia’s largest Autistic-led service provider, dedicated to empowering Autistic young people. We do this through strengths-based, neuro-affirming mentoring programs in schools, communities and online."

The I CAN Network run school-based programs and they also offer a national program of online group mentoring for autistic people aged 8-22 years.

Living on the Spectrum is a directory for Australians that provides resources, products and events for the neurodivergent community. They provide information and resources for parents and carers with children between the ages of 0 and 25 as well as having a range of adult resources.
