This download from the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services is titled 'My Child has an Intellectual disability - Information for Queensland families of young children'. Although written specifically for Queensland families, it does have a lot of useful information for families from all over Australia. Information is divided under the headings: About Intellectual Disability, Diagnosis, Early Intervention Services, Early Childhood Education & Care, Starting School and Aids, Equipment & Assistive Technology.

Council for Intellectual Disability

Council for Intellectual Disability is "a disability rights organisation led by people with intellectual disability". On this page they have a series of downloadable Health Fact Sheets with information about supporting adults and children with an intellectual disability.

Specifically for children there are downloads titled 'Children - signs of illness' as well as 'Children - what kinds of health services are there?' as well as other downloads covering topics such as challenging behaviour, dental care, mental health, managing menstruation, going to the dentist and much more.
My Lived iD

My Lived iD is a hub for people with intellectual disability, their families, carers and health care professionals. "It has been created by the Centre for Development Disability Health. The Centre for Developmental Disability Health (CDDH) provides support and information to people with intellectual disability and their families and supports in Victoria."
You can find information on mental health services, legal advice and emergency planning as well as health & well being, mental health, drug & alcohol addiction, families & carers, how to stay safe and resources. This website also has online courses for people with disability.
