KidsWish provide free events and programs to children living with disability or illness and their families. Current programs include Game On (play games / social), Sports Academy (sport skills), KidsRock (music), KidsGroove (dance), Siblings Program and a Saturday Club (social outings and fun experiencees).

The Museum is "Australia's museum of the sea". They offer Sensory-Friendly Sundays where people on the autism spectrum and with a range of differing abilities are able to enjoy a modified environment. Suitable for 2 years and over. The staff and volunteers "will be on hand to facilitate creative activities."

What Ability

What Ability helps people with disabilities between the ages of 4 and 64 years old, get out and about in the community and have fun. They provide a variety of different group camps across Australia. These range from between 2 days and 1 night up to 7 days and 6 nights away.

Abilities Unleashed Kids hold events all over Australia (including in rural areas).

Children living with disabilities are invited to attend the free kids event where they take part in multi-sports within a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

Skillz 4 Me

Skillz4Me provide programs for children with disability to improve motor skills, learn to socialise with other kids, build confidence and self-esteem and have fun. Programs include Art N Craft, Social Skills Training, Lego Club, Free Sport Sessions and Parent Connect.

Kubek is a run by Kasia who provides one on one clay sessions for people with disability. All ages are welcome and she offers home-visit sessions as well as in-studio sessions.

The City of Parramatta provide free holiday programs where children take part in a variety of physical and educational programs and workshops. They aim to make their "school holiday programs 100% accessible to children of all abilities. All programs are organised by trained facilitators who can deliver activities that respond to children with a range of needs."

Coastal Active Ability provide a number of children's activities, clubs, programs and services for children with special needs. "The programs vary from LEGO Time, Kids in the Kitchen, Pokémon Club and Social Group Activities like Gymnastics and other Sports Activities, Art & Drawing Classes, Sensory Movies & Theatres, Social Events to Getaways & Day Out Trips, School Holiday Programs."

Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT run The Junior Wheelies Camps for children 6-18 years who want to have some fun and give wheelchair sports a try. Sports include Wheelchair Rugby, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Cricket, Wheelchair AFL and Wheelchair Tennis.

The New England Conservatorium runs a Music Therapy program (individual or group) for children and adults with a range of needs. They also provide Assisted music lessons for neurodiverse children and adults for piano, guitar and percussion.

Autism Camp Australia provide camps in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. The "Tweed/Byron Hinterland Program runs over 4 days and 5 nights. It is a rainforest / mountain location. Making Waves

Making Waves provide a sailing program for children living with disabilities. "The Winds of Joy is an inclusive, safe space, designed to give young people with disabilities an empowering and uplifting experience on the water. Participants are supported by skilled volunteer sailors, who will give students the opportunity to have hands-on experience with a large high performance yacht, specially fitted to accommodate wheelchairs."

Tribe Disability Support

Tribe host a number of group activities, "designed to encourage inclusive engagement, nurturing the growth of social skills, forming connections, and, most importantly, enjoying wholesome fun with fellow Tribe members." Some examples of activities are a bush dance, Easter egg picnic, disco & movie nights. Tribe also provides camp-based experiences, boxing & exercise and boat outings.

One Culture Support Services

One Culture Support Services run inclusive sports programs for people with disabilities, an Inclusive Sports Championship once a term, a school holiday program and more. Sport programs include football, tennis, cricket, oztag, rugby league & basketball. School holiday programs run each weekday and include many different activities across different locations.

Around a number of libraries in NSW, librarians present weekly Rhymetime (0-2 years) and Storytime (3-5 years) sessions. Children have opportunities to develop their language and literacy skills. They also run Auslan storytime sessions which are suitable for deaf and hearing preschool aged children. See website for details.

Art exhibitions are held across a number of Sydney locations. They run a number of programs and Family Days which cater for people with disabilities including 'Family Day: Thriving Environments' and 'Family Day: Makes Dreams Come True'. "In 2024 our Family Days will centre the work and perspectives of artists with disabilities; creating works, performances and installations suitable for children of all abilities.

They "are trained specialists who support NDIS-managed plans and have over a decade of experience working with talented individuals living with disabilities and/or neurodiversities."

"Special Olympics is a year-round multi-sports program for people with an intellectual disability – of all capabilities." The program helps participants get active, make friends, have fun, learn important life skills and promote movement, teamwork, decision making and communication. There is also a Special Olympics Young Athletes for children aged 2-8 years with and without intellectual disability  .

We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym

We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym provide "a safe, nurturing and fun environment to foster learning, exploration and safe sensory experiences." They have 'Open Play' where children can use the sensory-safe gym with parent supervision. They also have therapy equipment, an arts & crafts area, a calming room and more. They also run a number of programs for children with special needs. A number of locations around Australia.

The Lab Tech Games Fun

"The Lab is a tech and games based social experience for young people aged 8-18+ where the goal is to have fun and make friends." They hold two-hour sessions at a number of locations in NSW for young people to help them develop their social and technology skills. PCYC NSW

The NSW PCYC offer disability gymnastics classes for young people in Bathurst. "With our disability gymnastics classes, we aim to create a fun and inclusive environment where children and teenagers can express themselves through movement and enjoy the physical and mental benefits of exercise."

Heart2art

Heart2art offer art workshops, "designed specifically for individuals with disabilities". 

Their workshops offer a range of activities, including painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media. Their NDIS workshops are "led by experienced artists and art therapists with specialised training in working with individuals with disabilities" and they tailor their workshops to meet the needs and abilities of each participant.
